Shaneka Morris is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). She attended Fordham University for her masters in social work. Shaneka provides holistic therapy with a client centered treatment approach that is culturally responsive and affirming. Her goal is to empower clients to heal from unresolved issues and trauma, so that they can break through personal and systemic barriers, align with their purpose, and create what they desire in life, in love, and in business. “Our work together will be to guide you into reclaiming the parts of yourself that may feel like they have been lost.”
Shaneka specializes in working with individuals living with symptoms of depression and anxiety. She works with people struggling to find a work life balance, grief and loss, body positivity, adjustment issues, anger management, life transitions, relationships, racial issues and women’s issues.
Danielle Provino is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She has ten years of clinical experience working primarily with children, adolescents and families in downtown Yonkers. Her experience includes working with trauma, depression, bi-polar disorder, anxiety, ADHD, and Borderline Personality Disorder in individual, couples, family, and group therapy. She is experienced in talk-therapy, play therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy (Including TF-CBT and DBT).
Danielle utilizes a client-centered, goal oriented approach to help each client create an individualized set of goals and treatment plan. She believes in therapy as a tool to empower individuals and families to manage stresses and improve their lives by providing each client with a safe, compassionate, and judgment-freeenvironment. She believes that while not everyone needs therapy, everyone can benefit from therapy.
Ms. Annette Stabile is a licensed mental health counselor and is awaiting certification as a school counselor. She has received training in providing therapy to adults and adolescents in both the private and hospital setting.
Her approach is one of collaboration. She believes in working with clients to promote optimal social and emotional functioning. Each individual’s story is different and has been influenced by unique journeys and life experiences. In that regard and in order to be mindful of the present and future, her approach is to process past occurrences and engage in new, adaptive thinking styles and behaviors. Her areas of specialty involve treating those with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and adjusting to life changes.
Pamela L. Alston is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over twenty years of experience providing individual, couples, group and family therapy for adult and adolescent clients. She has completed post-graduate certificate programs in Advanced Clinical Social Work/Individual Therapy, Maternal Mental Health, and is certified in Trial-Based Cognitive Therapy.
Pamela specializes in treatment of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma, and perinatal/postpartum mood and anxiety disorders.
Pamela works from an anti-racist, culturally informed, sex-positive perspective. Her treatment approach incorporates cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, and supportive therapy techniques. She has expertise in working with adolescents, people of color, and LGBTQ+ clients. Pamela recognizes that a trusting relationship between client and clinician is the essential foundation for a successful therapeutic experience.
Erika Brondsky is an experienced individual therapist, Erika is well-versed at supporting individuals cope with varying mental illnesses. Erika has several years of experience working with adolescents and adults. As a therapist, Erika’s goal is to work with the client to resolve conflicts, change negative thought patterns, and set attainable goals. Erika’s therapeutic style is client-centered and strength-based. She believes in empowering clients to develop the confidence and skills needed to overcome future challenges and maintain mental wellness. Erika has experience with Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness.
Kristen Nocerino is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, as well as holds a Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology. She received both graduate degrees from CUNY John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Kristen has over 8 years of experience in community mental health with adults. Kristen has worked with clients living with anxiety, depression, and have experienced trauma. She has experience working with the forensic population. Kristen uses a flexible approach to meet the needs of her clients.
A favorite quote of Kristen’s states, “A healer does not heal you. A healer is someone who holds space for you while you awaken your inner healer, so that you may heal yourself,” by Maryam Hasnaa. Healing comes from within, but sometimes you need help and support from the outside in a safe environment. Holding space is viewing someone without judgement and seeing him or her through loving kindness. Holding space is recognizing that although we all may stumble, we are all also so powerful. Kristen will provide this space through compassion, and embraces her clients for their strengths and struggles.
She also holds advanced certificates in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Bereavement and Grief related Issues as well as being a certified Clinical Trauma Professional. In addition, Kristen is a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance and has completed trainings in Trauma Sensitive Yoga with the Trauma and Embodiment Yoga Program. She has also completed trainings with the Prison Yoga Project and Liberation Yoga Project.
Heiddi Zalamar is a bilingual licensed mental health counselor.
She graduated from NYACK College with a Master of Arts in Counseling in 2008.
For 12 years, Heiddi has had a broad range of experience in the helping profession including foster care, clinical therapy and crisis work. She has worked with youth and families using a variety of methods including: Behavior Modification, Play therapy, CBT and TF-CBT. She has trained in Mindfulness techniques and has conducted groups for Anger Management and Self-Care.
Heiddi has worked with clients around Anxiety, Depression, behavior issues, trauma and parenting support.
She believes that every person has the innate capacity for healing and with the right supports, can improve his or her life for the better. For Heiddi, therapy is a powerful tool and a therapist walks alongside the client providing that support as the client works to heal.
Heiddi provides a safe space and uses a strengths-based and non-judgmental approach to assist clients in reducing their symptoms and achieve treatment goals. Her mission is to make a difference one person at a time.
Lauren Ryan is a mental health counselor with a limited permit. She received both her Bachelors of Arts in Applied Psychology and Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Pace University. Her primary therapeutic approaches are Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Psychodynamic Therapy. Lauren also has experience utilizing art therapy approaches and is currently enrolled in an interdisciplinary trauma-informed Creative Arts Therapy program with the University of Albany.
Lauren implements strong compassion and empathy into her therapeutic practice to help facilitate growth, self-understanding, and overall life satisfaction. She believes in building a collaborative and trusting working relationship with her clients and actively encourages the exploration of their thoughts and emotions. In session, Lauren cultivates a warm and secure environment that allows for clients to feel heard and understood. She empowers her clients through heightening self-awareness, teaching effective coping skills, and holding space for clients to process complex emotions and trauma.
Sidd Rahman is a mental health counselor working at a school. He received his Bachelors in Forensic Psychology at John Jay College and recently completed his Masters in Education, Mental Health Counseling at Hunter College. Sidd has experience in the Criminal Justice and substance abuse field, working at Rikers Island, interning at Samaritan Village outpatient, and becoming the supervisor of two grant-funded Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) in Brooklyn Criminal Court. He has experience in working with individuals with anxiety, depression, substance usage, and re-entry. His counseling style is eclectic, drawing from evidence-based therapies.
Stephanie Ortiz is a Bilingual (English and Spanish-speaking) clinician with over 5 years of experience working with diverse populations. She has experience working with individuals with anxiety, depression, suicidal ideations, life transitions, bereavement, etc.
She believes it is important to feel both seen and heard in therapy. Stephanie utilizes a unique blend of person-centered therapy, cognitive-behavioral treatment (CBT), motivational interviewing, solution-focused, and reality-based modalities with individuals and families.
Her goal as a clinician is to heal, nurture, and promote emotional wellness within her clients. She provides a warm, non-judgmental approach to help reframe and rewrite her client's story.
Dr. Dale Singh views the process of psychotherapy as reparative and restorative. Dr. Singh’s incorporates treatment interventions from various scientifically supported modalities, focusing on Humanistic, Psychodynamic and Cognitive Behavioral approaches. He also adopts a multicultural perspective when tailoring the treatment for individuals participating in psychotherapy. Dr. Singh’s training experiences has informed his therapeutic approach in that, the therapeutic process that is safe, non-judgmental, empathic and respectful.
Dr. Singh earned his B.A. from St. Joseph’s College and his M.A. and Doctorate in Psychology from St. Elizabeth University. His experience includes, individual/group psychotherapy, community mental health, inpatient psychiatric hospital, residential and outpatient substance abuse treatment.
Daniel Tolbert is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years experience working with diverse populations. His areas of specialty include adults with depression, anxiety, coping through divorce or separation, criminal justice involvement and incarceration re-reentry adjustment, addictions, grief counseling, trauma/abuse, and family therapy. His approach is eclectic, drawing from psychodynamic and evidence based therapies.
Dr. Amanda Piccolino is a trained psychotherapist and organizational psychology professional, who utilizes evidence-based interventions to help clients achieve a greater insight into self, and a greater capacity for choice and change. In session, she facilitates a nonjudgmental and warm space, that balances compassionate listening with constructive feedback and coaching.
Amanda’s mission is to help those affected by anxiety, depression, and trauma, to live lives that are meaningful, whole, and free. Her therapeutic approach primarily integrates techniques from ACT, DBT, and CBT. By helping clients foster acceptance and adaptive coping skills, Amanda helps provide clients a roadmap back to peace, and a life where every struggle represents an opportunity for personal growth and empowerment.
Lillian Osaigbovo is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), who has worked with diverse populations within the Bronx and Brooklyn communities. With over ten years of experience working in a variety of different mental health settings, including outpatient, inpatient, and addiction. Lillian has supported a wide range of client population from children to geriatrics. She is a client centered psychotherapist, who provides individuals, couples, and families with thought provoking and life changing perspectives. Lillian received her bachelor's degree from Herbert LehmanCollege, City University of New York, in Social Work. She also earned a master's degree from the Adelphi University School of Social Work. Lillian works from a psychodynamic and relational model, utilizing attachment-based, eclectic, person -centered, and trauma focused therapies. She also focuses on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, psychoanalytic, and brief solution-oriented techniques to help individuals process and work through life challenges. Her therapeutic focus includes, but is not limited to, interpersonal difficulties, anxiety, depression, bereavement, cultural and diversity issues, anger management, domestic violence, sexual, and childhood trauma, life transitions, LGBTQ issues, and substance abuse. Lillian believes in providing a safe and supportive space where individuals can be authentic while overcoming their barriers. She understands taking the first step towards a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage, and further believes no one is exempt from needing assistance in remembering true greatness from within.
April Tettemer is a Creative Arts Therapist with a limited permit. April received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in studio art from San Jose State University in 2015 and received her Masters of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy with a focus on Art Therapy from Notre Dame de Namur University in 2018. Her primary therapeutic approaches include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy. April has experience utilizing art of all mediums in a therapeutic capacity for both assessment and intervention techniques. April has clinical experience facilitating individual, couples, group and family therapy working with clients from ages 13 and above. April has worked with adolescents and adults in both inpatient and outpatient settings. April has experience working with anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral issues, relationship issues, clients who are in the LGBTQ community and issues pertaining such as gender dysphoria, grief/bereavement and loss, life transitions and more.
As a therapist April looks to improve client’s self-esteem, self-efficacy, and self-confidence. She helps clients learn, utilize, and implement coping skills and work through their emotional process as they learn. April emphasizes an egalitarian approach to therapy seeing her clients as equals. April is willing to meet her clients where they are at while also treating them as the expert of their own experience and focuses on a harm reduction model. Denise A. Tejada-Peralta is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor for the state of New York with over 11yrs of clinical experience. She holds degrees in Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, and advanced certification in Spiritual Direction. She has completed all coursework in Clinical Psychology at a doctoral level. Denise is passionate about spiritually informed care and works with clients on mood dysregulation, anxiety, depression, parenting, and relationships. Denise holds expertise in working with scrupulosity, religious trauma, and the spiritual/cognitive aspects of behavior.
Carlos Mercedes Meran is a Mental Health Couselor with a Limited Permit. He is currently a PhD candidate for Mental Health Counseling at Pace University and Acquired his master's degree at Pace University. His approaches are Person-Centered, Motivational Interviewing and Positive Psychology. Carlos is also an adjunct professor. He has experience with relationship counseling including, co-dependence and self-esteem as well as experience working with substance use, and varying mental health diagnoses. Carlos has done a lot of research on intergenerational trauma in Latin American populations.
Carlos is a strong believer that everyone has the ability to overcome and manage their problems. He someone who will help people understand and accept themselves through empathy and psychoeducation. Carlos believes that people will excel when they are aware of their strengths and how to use them. The best way therapy works is through collaboration and acceptance.
Keena Mashburn is an administrative assstant/billing specialist and retired high school Mathematics Instructor with 25+ years of teaching experience. She has 12 years of bookkeeping and medical billing background. With two children of her own and having worked in low income areas for many years taking care of students and their needs, Keena understands the importance of filing insurance claims as so many students could not afford healthcare prices otherwise. Many of her students receive services provided by the state and government and she knows the importance of seeking the maximum benefit for each and every one. Her experience working with the public encouraged her to pursue a position with Miller Billing and Management Services and MJM Psychological Services, not only fight to receive maximum benefits for patients and services rendered, but to also assist medical offices in serving all individuals regardless of economic status.
